On the morning of November 6, 2024, the country woke up to the news that Donald Trump had won a second term. By the next evening, Ash-Lee MCed a national call with the Working Families Party and other movement partners to help people make meaning of what had just happened.
It was supposed to be an hour. It ran nearly four. Over 150,000 people joined. People were still buzzing, so Ash-Lee went live on Instagram for another 30+ minutes to ground people before they all called it a night.
Not because of a marketing campaign or a viral moment. Because people needed a space that could hold the complexity of that night without flattening it into a soundbite.
It remains one of the largest single-event movement gatherings in recent history.
